“Throw the bums out.”
These four words encompass Sen. Tom Cotton’s recent Real Clear Politics editorial eviscerating far-left progressive lawyers who were elected to district attorney positions thanks to funding from far-left billionaire George Soros.
Sen. Cotton, who holds a law degree from Harvard Law and worked as an attorney before joining the military and later starting a career in politics, rightly notes that rising crime rates in various metropolitan areas throughout the United States correlates with the refusal of far-left district attorneys to prosecute certain types of crime.
In Chicago’s Cook County, District Attorney Kim Foxx won’t prosecute shoplifters as long as the value of goods stolen is less than $1,000; not surprisingly, Chicago ranks as one of the top five cities with the most shoplifting incidents in the United States.
At the same time, the city’s murder rate has risen by a whopping 56%.
On the east coast, New York County District Attorney Cy Vance has slashed prosecutions by 58%; his city’s murder rate has risen by 47% while shooting incidents have risen by an eye-popping 97%.
Over in Los Angeles, DA George Gascon refused to charge criminals who disturbed the peace, resisted arrest or made criminal threats.
The murder rate in his city rose by 36% in 2020 and grew by 17% in 2021; additionally, it’s on the list of top ten cities with the most shoplifting incidents in the nation.
Over in Baltimore, DA Marilyn Mosby won’t charge drug dealers while the murder rate in her city rises through the ceiling.
Baltimore’s safety rating is lower than that of Mexico City, Baghdad and Damascus.
Over in St. Louis, Missouri, progressive Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner refused to charge rioters in last year’s protests; not surprisingly, her city is one of the top twenty most unsafe cities in the world.
Sadly, these are only some of the many DAs throughout the nation who have gotten elected on George Soros’ dime.
Even a cursory look at the current state of affairs makes it clear that “kicking the bums out” may be far too charitable a response.
Rather, criminal charges may be in order for those who have played an active role in boosting the nation’s crime rate at the expense of millions of innocent Americans.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to foresee a scenario in which these progressive DAs are recalled and removed.
In Cook County, a special prosecutor found that DA Kim Foxx had lied about the infamous Jussie Smollett case and committed ethical violations; even so, she was re-elected to another term as DA even after these revelations.
In Los Angeles, crime has gotten so out of hand even the mainstream news media is taking note.
Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi publicly bemoaned the disorder and “attitude of lawlessness” while professing ignorance about what caused the demise of the city in the first place.
Other progressives have taken to blaming systemic racism, inequality, the Second Amendment and other “bogeymen” in an effort to deflect criticism of their failing positions and policies.
Even so, reality on the ground doesn’t become politically correct even though some prefer to ignore it.
The cities with far-left district attorneys are seeing crime rising at an exponential rate, because allowing unrepentant criminals to roam free with no consequences for their actions not only empowers them to continue committing crimes but also encourages others to follow in their footsteps.
All that remains to be seen now is how long the current state of affairs will last before the public decides enough is enough and decides to elect district attorneys who know how to do their jobs competently and efficiently.
Thank God that someone has the Balls and Guts in congress to stand up for the American people

Does anyone think that we are going to compete with them in the marketplace or on the battlefield in 10 years? The educators in this country, and I mean all of them, are a walking joke because they are a product of the same debilitated system. Thank you, Senator Cotton for going after Soros. He is so EVIL, he was even involved in this pandemic since 2014. Late last summer i even saw a picture of him standing somewhat close to Pelosi and his son was also in the picture.
