Money Isn’t Evil. You’re Just An Idiot

Last night I was out at my local pub having a pint and the people next to me started politicking – and here I thought that bar rules stipulate no talking politics or religion – oh well.

Of course the couple were liberal as the day is long. Talking about the 1% this, the rich that, Trump is the devil… and I thought to myself – these people must really believe that money (and Republicans) is the root of all evil.

I’m a contrarian I guess.

I believe that the “American Dream” is to become independently wealthy so your family can live a comfortable life for generations to come… not suck off the government for income.

So I believe the opposite of the people sitting next to me – the lack of money is the root of all evil. That’s why people steal, cheat and murder – because they’re lazy and don’t want to work for their money.

And I’ll take it a step further and say that the lack of anything is the root of all evil.

Crime, war, poverty – the outcomes of evil – these may be fueled by money, but the reason they’re carried out is because somebody lacks something and wants it.

Money isn’t evil…

Money is a tool for success. So how can the accumulation of a tool be seen as evil? If sand was money, would you say the accumulation of sand is evil?

Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?

I think so too.

I’m dumbfounded at how the supposed 99% that this couple at the bar were obviously a part of (and let’s be honest – their income probably isn’t that low, but they love being victims don’t they?) have been brainwashed into thinking that money is a bad thing. That Wall Street greed is what brought our economy to its knees.

I wanted to jump in and ask this couple to explain all the money Hillary made giving speeches to Goldman Sachs (aren’t they the 1%?).

The problem is these people are the sheep. Being led away from the truth by their herder, who’s telling them that greener pastures are just around the corner, when in fact the herder is the wolf and the green pastures are a fantasy told to keep them moving in the direction the herder wants.

The bigger problem is the government. This administration, and Liberals in general, feed mainstream media with the news they want the public to focus on.  Just read the New York Times or watch CNN… or worse – go see “What’s Trending Now” on Facebook or Google.

But I digress…

It all comes back to the individual shouldering the responsibility for their own misfortunes.

Somewhere along the way, it became preferred American practice to defer responsibility…

Nobody stands up and owns their decisions. Blame the 1% for being rich and you being poor – I don’t think so. America still is the land of innovation and entrepreneurship.

You got caught when you bought a house that you thought you’d flip and make some quick cash? Who’re you going to blame? The bank for giving you the loan? The government for telling them to?

Or are you going to blame the person in the mirror who took a risk, knowing full well that you couldn’t afford another house payment and that the whole thing might not work out?

But we’re not here to point out the problem…

You want to fix the problem? Easy…

Stop pointing your finger at those who have more than you and saying it’s “unfair”.

You want more? Go work for it. Go find a way to get what you want. Don’t ask the government to confiscate more from people that have worked to earn their money and who probably employee thousands and thousands of people.

Working shouldn’t be punished – it should be valued and encouraged.

Not working shouldn’t be rewarded. You shouldn’t get something for nothing.

You want something? Take responsibility to build the life you want. Don’t expect it to be handed to you…

The more people that did that, the better off our economy and country would be.

If only the people sitting next to me at the bar believed this. I wanted to ask them if they’d ever heard the saying “Give a mouse a cookie and he’ll ask for a glass of milk.” That’s exactly what people living off entitlements do. The more they get, the more they ask for and think they deserve.

Democrats have brainwashed them and others into believing their policies are good for America. But liberals do not create policies that are good for America. Instead they pander to the people in order to get elected into office so they can have a free ride with a government job.

Now a quick side note before I sounds like the most far-right jerk you’ve ever read: People who can’t work because of disabilities and extenuating circumstances should have monetary assistance.

Veterans are the perfect example. I’m referring to able bodied Americans who rather sit on their couch and collect government subsidies than get a job… and snobby liberals who blame everyone else for their shortcomings.
