Everyday Americans rely on truck drivers to deliver 72 percent of their food, products, and raw materials to sustain communities. The hard-working men and women operating those big rigs are being brought under siege by the White House and Democrats across the county who want to watch as the country falls like Joe Biden trying to ride a bicycle.
The left-wing media continues to falsely blame the land war between Russia and Ukraine for rising gasoline and truck diesel prices. Truth be told, the Biden Administration’s Day One attack on the oil sector spiked prices, and the misguided sanctions banning the purchase of Russian oil exacerbated the inflation-driving cost of diesel. When Biden took office, the national average for truck diesel was $2.681 per gallon. It topped $5.50 in May 2022 and shows little signs of pivoting back to pre-Bidenflation costs.
Global elites in the EU and Joe Biden have joyfully sanctioned Russia by banning the sale of crude oil, a move that hurts working families but has virtually no effect on them. European families and businesses are feeling the first crushing wave of those sanctions.
Manufacturing plants have shuttered as Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin responded by shutting down 40 percent of the EU’s natural gas supply. Elites are playing games that are costing workers their salaries. And European families are faced with gasoline, natural gas, and diesel rationing. Trucks could grind to a halt, and inadequate supplies of home heating oil are not assured for winter.
“The worst-case scenario is energy rationing. That would be that non-essential industries are asked at the first stage to reduce consumption in return for compensation. That’s a plan the government in Germany published over the weekend,” Henning Gloystein, director of energy, climate, and resources at political risk consultancy Eurasia Group, reportedly said. “The next step would be to ration industries and households and ask them to consume much less and that is something in Europe that most people have never experienced. That in winter means people will get cold and, in some areas, if it is a cold winter, some people will die and that’s politically really toxic and of course, it is a nasty situation to be in.”
Americans can anticipate similar energy shortages as Democrats, Joe Biden and his Obama-leftovers continue to target the GOP-leaning trucking sector through diesel-price sanctions.
In Connecticut, Democrat lawmakers and left-wing Gov. Ned Lamont gave residents a gas tax holiday. They strategically excluded removing the tax on truck diesel. In fact, the Democrat-run state plans to increase the tax on diesel by 23 percent, raising it to $0.49 per gallon on July 1. They understand full well they are pushing small trucking outfits to the brink and inflicting unnecessary inflation on Americans.
The Biden-appointed U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen refused to throw support behind a federal gas and diesel tax holiday that would curb inflation.
“President Biden wants to do anything he possibly can to help consumers,” Yellen reportedly said. “Gas prices have risen a great deal, and it’s clearly burdening households. So, he stands ready to work with Congress, and that’s an idea that’s certainly worth considering.”
Members of Congress have already voiced approval of eliminating these taxes that are being heaped on inflation. Many agree that gas and diesel taxes should have been suspended before the country suffered inflation of over 8 percent, a 40-year-high.
“I had a driver that spent $500 a day on one truck. Two trucks last week was almost $4,000. They’re diesel, it’s going up every single day, and it’s our main expense. We’re not making any money anymore. We’re putting all the gas in the gas tank. At $4,000 a week in gas, two trucks, what is that $12,000 a month, just in gas,” Gina Puzzo, the small business owner of a trucking company called Puzzo LLC, reportedly said of the diesel crisis. “Now it’s almost $6 a gallon. Every week, I pay more in gas, and I don’t how much I can keep paying to keep the company going. We don’t want to quit. I don’t want to give up. I hope something changes.”
Toppling the trucking industry through unsustainable diesel costs would effectively complete the goals of far-left socialists such as the Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Untenable inflation and a crippled trucking supply chain would leave Americans rationing food, home heating oil, and dependent on the government for assistance while on the brink of a second Great Depression. It all starts with food, products, and materials transported by truckers, and Democrats are showing these women and men no quarter.
Where are the normal politicians today? How can any sane politician Republican or Democrat continue to just sit back and watch this Fool and his administration Ruin America?
