How Trump’s Wall Would Benefit the Economy

It appears as though Donald Trump may have the inside track to the presidency. Hillary Clinton is suffering from pneumonia and possibly even more serious health maladies that will likely never be revealed. Trump is up in the latest polls for good reason: He will fix America’s economy and return our nation to greatness.

It is now time to seriously consider the prospect of “Trump’s Wall”. Those who have followed the news over the past half-year are well aware of the fact that Trump would like to erect a massive wall between the U.S. and Mexico to prevent illegal aliens from crossing the border. Though such a wall would certainly be costly, it would stimulate the U.S. economy in a variety of ways.

The Question of Who Pays

A border wall would stretch between 1,300 and 2,000 miles. Such a structure would cost billions of dollars to erect as a single mile of fencing costs between $2.8 and $3.9 million. It would cost $750 million more per year to police the wall with armed immigration guards.

Trump is adamant that Mexico should pay for the wall’s construction. After all, it is Mexicans who are breaking U.S. immigration laws by hopping the border and illegally residing in the land of the free. According to Trump, these undocumented immigrants created the problem so they should pay for its remedy.

It is questionable whether or not Trump could convince Mexico’s government to invest a single penny in such a mammoth structure. The real question is whether it even matters if Mexicans pay for the wall. In the long run, a border wall will pay for itself.

Consider the fact that Trump has vowed to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants once elected president. Many of these illegal aliens snuck in across a poorly policed U.S.-Mexico border. Plenty of these illegals do not work and take advantage of our social services.

Consider the cost of housing and feeding these individuals. The U.S. taxpayer who works the 9 to 5 grind is the one who is responsible for illegal immigrants’ welfare. It is also worth noting that illegal Mexican immigrants tend to send a large portion of their money back across the border to their family that still resides in Mexico. This is all terrible news for the U.S. economy.

Imagine if these illegal immigrants were returned to Mexico and additional Mexicans were barred from entry into the U.S. by way of the “Trump Wall”. The end result would be a significant economic stimulus for taxpaying Americans.

Illegal aliens would no longer have the opportunity to take advantage of our generous social welfare programs. Nor would they have the chance to remove money from our economy by sending it to their relatives in Mexico.

This is precisely why Americans should not shirk at the notion of paying for the construction of Trump’s wall. Though the wall’s construction and policing would certainly cost a pretty penny, it would be a boon to the U.S. economy across posterity.

Trump’s Wall Will put a Stop to Job Thievery

Imagine a scenario in which an illegal alien hops the U.S.-Mexico border, finagles his way into a landscaping job that pays $15 an hour and sends the brunt of his earnings back home to his family in Mexico. His employment and consequential transmittal of earnings to his out-of-country relatives represents a one-two punch that our economy can no longer tolerate.

This hypothetical scenario is quite real and occurs throughout our nation on a daily basis. The unfortunate truth is that nearly 100 million working-age Americans are unemployed. It is time to put Americans first by showing illegal immigrants the door.

Unemployed Americans should have first dibs on all open positions, regardless of whether they are low-paying blue collar jobs. It does not make economic sense to employ an illegal immigrant who hardly speaks any English and redirects a large portion of his earnings out of our increasingly fragile economy.

Every Nation-State Deserves Economic Self-Determination

A Trump wall would ensure that unemployed and underemployed Americans who have paid taxes in the past will be provided with the economic opportunities they truly deserve. After all, hardworking Americans are partially responsible for this country’s infrastructure.

Though Mexican immigrants are certainly hard up for money, they did not make the same types of sacrifices as our workforce. Trump’s wall will ensure that Americans are hired ahead of illegal immigrants.

The wages of true Americans will cycle back through the U.S. economy by way of immediate spending and investing. This is the beauty of a nation-state’s sovereignty. We have every right to economically isolate ourselves from nations with failed economies and opportunistic workforces.

If Clinton and the liberals had their way, our nation would be swamped with illegal aliens who show up with nothing but their hands out. Consider the fact that the United States’ real unemployment rate is hovering around 15 percent. This percentage could balloon to 25 percent or higher if Clinton is elected.

The bottom line is that conservatives like Trump understand that human beings separate themselves into nation-states for good reason. We deserve to dictate our economic and cultural fate without sabotage from outsiders.

It is time for liberals and illegal aliens to recognize the United States’ sovereignty and right of self-determination as a nation-state. Trump’s wall will put our own taxpayers ahead of border-hopping freeloaders. It just might be enough to save our fledgling economy that has yet to fully rebound from the recession of 2008.
