More than 300,000 free-speech-loving patriots joined Truth Social during a brief initial rollout, and opponents have gone on the attack. The platform was dragged into existence by former Pres. Donald J. Trump, and comes with the promise of standing against Big Tech and liberal censorship. It experienced a 30 percent surge in trading after a Presidents Day launch.
“Truth Social is America’s ‘Big Tent’ social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology,” according to the site’s mission statement.
Although the former president and his team are working tirelessly to restore First Amendment rights online, it appears the fight is not yet won. Truth Social will struggle to shirk the yolk of at least one so-called “Master of the Universe.” That’s largely because Trump Media & Technology Group launched through the Apple Store and must comply with its content standards. Controversial podcast host Stew Peters quickly put potential censorship boundaries to the test.
“I’m ALREADY being censored on Truth Social,” Peters reportedly posted in Gab. “Want to know what I said? I said, ‘The people in our government responsible for allowing our kids to be killed with these dangerous Covid shots, should be put on trial and executed.’ Free Speech isn’t free.”
Advocating for “violent” acts remains outside the boundaries of Apple App Store content guidelines. Other messaging that may see a sensitive warning label or force Truth Social to remove a post could include privacy violations, obscenities, profanity, sexual fetishes, deception, or depictions of violence. Although Peters contends that mirror posts on Gab and Telegram were not subject to labels, that may not remain the case.
TRUTH SOCIAL DRAWS LINE AGAINST PHONY USERS
It appears Truth Social users won’t enjoy the cover of darkness Twitter supports when targeting conservatives. RINO Mitt Romney used his covert Francophile username Pierre Delecto to post disparaging remarks about Mr. Trump. Twitter was fine with phony names as long as it served the left’s purpose. When using Truth Social, Americans will need to own up to their words.
Left-wing miscreant Matt Ortega reportedly tried to create a profile called “DevinNunesCow.” Yes, he claimed to be a cow owned by the former Congressman and CEO of Trump Media and Technology Group. Ortega apparently wanted to hide in the shadows like Romney and undermine Nunes and Truth Social. Now, like Stew Peters, he’s crying and whining.
“The next evening, I received the email notifying me of the ban,” Ortega reportedly posted on left-leaning Twitter. “I was never able to login leaving me to believe the account was banned simply for the username mocking the media company’s CEO with a well known meme.”
Truth Social’s terms of service make it abundantly clear that liberal extremists won’t be allowed to employ tactics that “disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site.” The far left may call his ban censorship. Others might call it a mandate to tell the Truth like you possess a backbone.
ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA AND LEFT-WING PLATFORMS ARE RUNNING SCARED
The blitzkrieg of media attacks on Truth Social was long anticipated. Free-speech advocates couldn’t have expected how predictable and, frankly, pathetically weak headlines such as the following were.

The opposition party may want to check their powder because early propaganda misfired. By contrast, Trump’s TRUTH hit the bull’s eye with a Number One Apple App Store ranking as popular Cancel Culture platforms took a bullet. According to reports, Facebook and Twitter stock took a nosedive the Tuesday after President’s Day.
It may take a Herculean effort to break the shackles of the Apple Store and Big Tech. But Truth Social is a giant step forward for free speech.

Wilma, I tried that this morning. On Play Store, that exact title does not display. I have tried several times on several of the Trump/NRSC, and other republican sites that are encouraging us to join, and they will not accept registration unless you donate $$. That is something I refuse to do, just on principle alone. I don’t have to pay for any other site, and I refuse to “Pay For Trumps”.
I’m wondering if they’ll censor liberals as well as conservatives. I could go the rest of my life hearing absolutely zero opinions from libs.
I am an older person with no cell phone, and no desire to own one.I would like to join TRUTH, but I want NOTHING to do with Apple in any form. President Trump needs his own full control of this site. Until then, I will only watch to see if there will be a way for me to join.
I have an android phone but I refuse to put social media apps on it. If I can’t use my HP computer it ain’t a gonna happen.
There will be a new platform coming soon and it is independent. It supports desktop (Mac, Windows, Linux & Raspberry Pi) and also mobile devices (Phones & Tablets). You just go to the site and register to it. But I can’t tell you the name of this App yet because there is concerted effort to block this platform from being released.
