Russian Sanctions Are Pushing the World Closer to the Brink of Destruction

Business and investing podcaster M.C Laubscher, host of the podcast “Cashflow Ninja” has said that the Russian sanctions will hurt everyone around the world – not just Russia.

“So these sanctions, if you want to break it down, who does the sanctions really hurt in the long run? Well, all of the people all over the world are going to get hurt. Russians suffer absolutely, the citizens suffer. And now the rest of the world, all of the citizens, all the people, citizens of every country and people all over the world, they are going to suffer because of the Russian sanctions,” said Laubscher.

“So financially, everybody’s going to get hurt. The entire world is going to get rocked by this. And then, on a you and me level, a human level at the street, we’re going to see the impact of this in our daily lives regardless of where you find yourself on the planet. So who does sanctions hurt in the end, especially sanctions of the scale that has just been put on Russia? It hurts everyone. Nobody gets out of this without a scratch or without a black eye. Every single person is going to feel the pain of this in one shape or form.”

When Russia invaded Ukraine, sanctions were immediately imposed against Russia by the US and other Western nations and Laubscher explained that the goal of imposing economic sanctions is to ultimately destabilize that country – forcing unrest within the citizenry, which could then lead to a change in leadership or policy.

Producers Wealth president and CEO, said the first set of sanctions were severe, when the U.S and European allies froze $300 billion of Russia’s foreign reserves.

According to Laubscher, the second part of the sanctions – which included Russia being shut out from the SWIFT payment system – was far less effective as Russia and China are both using the CIPS payment system, which is completely different from SWIFT.

The third part of sanctions was companies pulling out of Russia, but really they were doing Russia a favor – no one really needs McDonald’s or Starbucks.

Russia is also resource-rich and a main player in exports of goods and commodities and according to Laubscher, Russia is in a good position to call the shots due to other nations needing its goods – like Germany, who imports over 55 percent of its oil and gas from Russia.

Russian sanctions “are going to put rocket fuel on the fire of the supply chain crisis,” according to Laubscher and will lead to shortages of goods and services in the world.

Laubscher added that people are going to see massive food shortages across the globe and the effects will be felt everywhere and predicted that current rising prices are going to shoot through the roof the longer the sanctions continue and this will cause unrest everywhere around the world.

  1. HI. FINALY THERE IS ONE SMART. THERE WAS BUSSINES, ONE HAD MINERALS AND SUPLIES OF FOOD. GERMAN WHERE BUSSINES AND MANUFACTURES.ONLY IDIOTS WANTED TO MOVE TO GET SUPPLIES. YOU DON’T GET TO SOMEONE KITCHEN. I AM OLD AMERICAN AND I LEARN HISTORY, NAPOLEON, ENGLAND CRIMEA WAR, AND I REMEMBER WHEN STEVEN BANDERA (UKRAINAS) SHAKING HANDS WITH HITLER, ON BALCONY OF HOTEL CARTLTON, THEN OPEN DOOR FOR WERMACH (VIA UKRAINE) TO RUSIA. SOMEONE FINDED PUPET ON STRING AND MADE HIM HEROE. I KNOW WHO AND WHERE….AND NOBODY WANT TO SEE ONE THING, OVER POPULATION, WARMING, GARBAGE, AND OPENING MOUTH TO BE FEED.

  2. All part of EVIL, SCUM BAG CABAL. WE MUST RID CIVILIZATION OF ALL OF THEM AND THEIR “ HOLIER THAN THOU WRETCHED FAMILIES”. THEY WANT TO CONTROL US, LETS Eliminate them.

  3. OK, the author doesn’t agree with sanctions, that’s pretty clear, but, how exactly does the author think the more civilized among us express our displeasure at the barbarity of Russia’s outrageous actions in Ukraine? Or, does he/she have a plan? Maybe the author thinks we should shrug our shoulders and just let it pass. Sanctions may not be ideal, but short of outright confrontation with Russia it’s the best way to punish bad behaviour, unless of course there’s a plan the rest of us are not privy to. Perhaps he/she will let the rest of us in on it.

  4. The sanctions are the only thing in our arsenal short of direct involvement. I don’t know if they affect Putin directly or just his subjects. Biden wasn’t about To go any further anyway, and Putin knew it. Biden addressed the problem by throwing money at it, but munitions we’re needed.
