In yet another example of Democrats demonstrating their privilege and complete disregard for the people they claim to serve, known philanderer California Rep. Eric Swalwell has been called out for spending over $60,000 on what he called travel expenses over the course of only six weeks.
Rep. Swalwell as you may remember was caught up in an affair with a Chinese agent, whom he was engaging in an extramarital affair with – obviously Swalwell remains untrustworthy as his latest behavior demonstrates why the midterm elections this year are so important.
Swalwell spent $57,094 in mere weeks on luxury travel and accommodation, including a Miami Beach resort and a hotel in Paris, France.
In Miami, Swalwell and two of his campaign staffers spent $4,708 at Loews Miami Beach – a room can range from $400 per night, right up to $3,700 for the presidential suite according to its website.
Hotel La Maison Champs-Elysées in Paris, France, was paid $1,752 by Swalwell’s campaign and according to the hotel’s website, “The Maison Champs-Elysées in the heart of Paris’ ‘Golden Triangle’ is an elegant marriage of contemporary lines and unobtrusive luxury, this very special non-conformist hotel teases our expectations, with theatrical elements, a subtle, relaxed atmosphere, and attentive staff.”
The spending of campaign funds, far, far away from his district, also showed that there was an enormous $13,312 spent on flights and his committee also dropped $7,815 on American Airline flights and around $1,300 on Alaska Airlines.
Swalwell also wanted the best while moving about too, and spent around $6,000 on luxury limos, $1,452 on Lyft rides and $1,055 on Uber rides, according to the disclosures.
Ever wondered why some people feel that the government is rotten to the core? Swalwell is the reason people carry such sentiments and Swalwell managed to spend more on luxury accommodation and travel, than he did on what he claimed he was using the funds for in the first place – “communications consulting” and “fundraising services.”
This is not the first time that Swalwell has been caught misappropriating funds – in 2021, the Rep. was spending tens of thousands of dollars on limousine services, high-end eateries and booze, while spending a further $20,000 at the luxury hotel that once employed his wife.
Fox News Digital reported:
The tens of thousands of campaign dollars include limo services, luxury hotels, high-end restaurants and alcohol delivery services over the second quarter, according to FEC records reviewed by Fox News.
More than $20,000 of the campaign funds went to luxury hotels, including the Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay, where Swalwell’s wife was the director of sales until 2019, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Swalwell’s campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Swalwell is simply another Democrat that abuses his position, nothing new there.

This guy is a total loser and his actions have been unacceptable. His involvement with the Russian investigation was false testimony to American citizens and he has earned jail time for it. Yet he still is perpetuating illegal acts.
Swalwell needs to be held to the rules and pay back his campaign out of his personal funds. This is the second time he’s done this in the last couple of years. It’s time he is punished for using poor judgment. Maybe he needs to be kicked out of congress!
