While shopping for overpriced food and other items due to the steadily increasing inflation, have you ever stopped and thought to yourself – this is the fault of the people who deny the January 6, 2020, Trump rally in Washington D.C. – was an insurrection.
No? Well, Economist Larry Summers thinks so and in a ballsy testament to the Democrats having absolutely no qualms in gaslighting the nation, has said that the inflation that we have all been experiencing over the past year and a half, is because Republicans have downplayed the events of January 6 at the Capitol building.
Summers is the former adviser to two Democrat presidents and served as treasury secretary under Bill Clinton.
“I think the banana Republicans who are saying that what happened on January 6 was nothing or OK are undermining the basic credibility of our country’s institutions,” Summers said on Sunday in a CNN interview. “And that, in turn, feeds through inflation. Because if you can’t trust the country’s government, why should you trust its money?”
Of course, in his lengthy tirade, Summers fails to mention the “summer of love” during 2020, which saw billions of dollars of damage caused across the country by Black Lives Matter protesters and Antifa – the Democrats equivalent to Hitler’s Brownshirts.
Cities were burned and innocent people were killed by those rioting and causing violence in usually quiet neighborhoods. All this while we were supposed to be cowering in our homes from covid.
The Democrats have attempted to paint the events of January 6 as racially motivated – despite the presence of Chinese and Black Americans being at the actual Trump rally itself, with Chinese Americans protesting the cruelty of the Communist Chinese Party (CCP).
The Democrats are using those events as an excuse to blame anyone else for their obvious failures since Joe Biden took office later that month on January 20th.
Former President Donald Trump is also taking much of the blame and the Democrats are alleging that he incited election-fraud protestors to block the peaceful transfer of power and have recently began broadcasting the Democrat hearings about the ‘riot’ thanks to former ABC News executive James Goldston.
The former director of the National Economic Council under former President Barack Obama, Summers called for more civility in Washington to help restore public confidence in the government.
“I think it’s terribly important that we take the temperature down in Washington, that we recognize behavior that’s just out-of-bounds of reasonableness and decency,” he said.
Confidence in government has been blown to pieces across the world, however, especially since the beginning of the covid pandemic, and people have been watching closely as leaders abuse their powers to bring us into an Orwellian dystopia.
Ironically, Summers himself questioned the government in 2017, when he implied that the 2016 Presidential Election between Donald Trump and Democrat hopeful Hillary Clinton – was ‘hacked’ by the Russians and that the Russians had colluded with Trump to put him in power.
Allegations that were proven to be false when it was exposed that the ‘Steele Dossier’ that Hillary Clinton had used to make her accusations – was fake and in fact, paid for by Democrats.
All this shows how desperate the Democrats are to lay blame, but talk to anyone at a gas station or a grocery store and they will tell you that they miss having Trump as their President – they weren’t subjected to hard times under his administration.
REALLY!!!!! When will Americans open their eyes? I’m sick to my stomach on how bad things are but instead of doing something, Just keep blaming someone else. I would have some respect if you just admitted it. But no your hatred for one person is so strong you don’t care about destroying so many others just for your own agenda, which I believe is to out right hurt Americans anyway! As an independent voter, I feel sad for our country in that true civil discourse is blatantly absent in the political and social environment. For one to speak up, he or she runs the risk of being vilified or targeted with violence and those who claim to be speaking for democracy do not condemn undemocratic behavior and seem to encourage protests even in the privacy of neighborhoods as if demonstrating in public arenas is not enough. How can America live in peace when our leaders fail to govern and enforce law and order? Our political leaders are failing us in a major way. The Supreme Court is the constitutionally-established guardians of the Supreme Law of the land and are supposed to be free and secure in their deliberations for the good of our society, yet the politicians are trying to intervene and muddle the exercise of their responsibilities through intimidation and threats to their lives and that of their families. There are laws in the books to protect them but what can you say is being done by our Dept. of Justice and our Chief Law Enforcement officer? Yet, members of Congress and the President and some members of His cabinet enjoy tax-paid security while the ordinary citizens, including the members of the Supreme Court and their families are left to live in fear. Then, the right to bear arms for self-defense is at risk of being taken away. What can you tell those who live far from cities where law-enforcement will not be able to effectively help them when criminals invade their properties or their homes? What kind of society are we bring transformed to be? An oligarchy? Let our politicians define a republican democracy, please. The will of the majority or the will of the few?
