Climate change remains in the headlines and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
The quest to help reduce emissions and reduce the impact humans have on the planet is a key component to many politicians on both sides of the political spectrum. (What’s up, RINOs?)
While there are varying ideas on how to “tackle climate change” from these eco-nuts and Globalist pawns, some are willing to let tens of thousands of jobs go by the wayside without considering the consequences — some are willing to destroy the economy altogether.
One of these individuals just happens to be Joe Biden’s Comptroller of the Currency nominee.
During an interview with the non-profit organization Jain Family Institute, which bills itself as a nonpartisan research organization looking at ways to improve social problems, Saule Omarova was asked a number of questions concerning “climate change” and how the Biden regime plans on implementing the changes it believes is necessary to “slow,” if not “reverse” it.
In one of her responses, when discussing the oil, gas and coal industries in the United States, Omarova said, “We want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change.”
If all three energy-producing sectors suddenly went bankrupt, it would spell the loss of work for at least tens of thousands of Americans (if not more).
Many states, including West Virginia, Alaska, Texas and Oklahoma, rely heavily on the production of energy derived from the likes of coal and gas. Shutting down these industries, or letting them go bankrupt, would derail entire states and have a wavering impact across the entire country.
The impact would also have significant implications regarding the Defense Department, as all branches of the military depend on energy produced here in the United States.
Many companies in the energy sector are currently diversifying their production portfolio. Big oil has started to put more and more money into reusable energy sources, such as solar and wind.
But despite current oil, fuel and coal companies already putting money into new ways to generate energy, top officials in the Biden regime, including Saule Omarova, are publicly saying there needs to be a complete and total bankruptcy of the worldwide industry.
It’s important to point out that Saule Omarova has not yet been officially confirmed by the Senate, a process that has been taking longer than normal, as most acting presidents have their positions filled before the halfway point of their terms.
Omarova is also closer to the extremist side of the Democrat Party.
She grew up in Soviet Kazakhstan, which had a lasting impact on her life. While growing up, she took part in a communist youth organization, and even rose to the ranks of a communist youth leader before she migrated to the United States.
It is due to this background that many senators, including a handful of Democrats, believe she might not be the right fit for the job. And with her spouting off about the need to force entire industries into bankruptcy, it’s likely she will not be confirmed. Senators from major energy-producing states will more than likely not vote for her appointment, otherwise they will be doing their states and voters a disservice.
Omarova spent time at Moscow State University before taking on the position of a Cornell Law School professor. She has practiced law here in the United States and even worked in the Treasury Department for President George W. Bush, although after her time in the Treasury Department, she claimed she wanted to completely change banking in the U.S, and perform a “complete migration of demand deposit accounts to the Federal Reserve.”
These are basic savings and checking accounts American citizens have, and she wants the Federal Reserve to have control over them.
In short, Saule Omarova wants to get her hands into a number of high-profile industries here in the United States.
Wealth for her, power for others.
